Ingredients

  • 1 pan of cornbread, crumbled
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 1lb of ground beef
  • 1 cup of chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion, garlic, peppers, and celery. Cook for five minutes until the vegetables are tender. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.

4. In a large bowl, mix the crumbled cornbread with the browned beef, vegetables, chicken stock, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well combined.

5. Grease a baking dish with butter and pour the mixture into it. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown on top. Enjoy!
