Dragone Ricotta Cheese Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups Dragone Whole Milk Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (28 oz.)
  • 2 cans tomato sauce (15 oz. each)
  • 2 tsp. dried basil leaves
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Dragone Whole Milk Ricotta Cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain off excess fat.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, and Italian seasoning to skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  6. To assemble, place three lasagna noodles in a greased 9×13-inch baking pan. Layer with a third of the Dragone cheese mixture, a third of the beef mixture, and a third of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers two more times.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes. Let stand for 10-15 minutes before serving.
